Migration streams have been flowing into Europe for some years now. Many of these refugees are from Syria, Eritrea, Afghanistan and so on. In the Netherlands, some people label them as 'fortune hunters', and the identity behind the refugee becomes neglected.
However, refugees are a young labor force and do bring knowledge. They want to build up a new life, and many of them have been very influential for our modern society: Steve Jobs, Freddie Mercury, Albert Einstein, Miriam Makeba, Robert Caoa and so on. Inspired by those stories, we connected a database of those inspiring people with an interactive game that puts you in their shoes. You will have to make conscious decisions, questioning your morals and your values. A combination of soundscape design with blurry visuals as backdrop intends to create a non-biased view, allowing space for the senses to be influenced by another way than the omnipresent daily exposure.
